It's definitely not a new restaurant that's for sure. But it's clean.
Good food, food service.
I had the loaded omelette and it was packed full of meat. Delicious and an amazing deal for $14. -

We came with a tour group on Dec. 22nd (Sat), the service was okay and since everything was prepaid for by the tour company I don't know how much it is.
However, the fries were dry and wrinkly. The chicken salad sandwich was okay, but would be better if the bread was toasted. -

The reason I love dining at small town restaurants is simple: you get a chance to chat with your server or bartender about the local customs, culture, people, activities, and real estate. My visit to The Country Kitchen was a perfect example of that - plus, it included a great home cooked meal.
The restaurant has recently undergone renovations and is looking clean and orderly, with tables spread out a fair distance from one another. It reminds me slightly of a catered banquet hall, which makes sense because they hold functions here sometimes. The space is plain and perhaps could be jazzed up a bit, but you're here for the food. What stood out the most was my server - a beefy male in his mid-twenties, professionally dressed, who was very courteous and prompt on service, while also finding the occasional minute to engage in casual conversation about Princeton life and life in general. Give this man a promotion, stat! No joke, that was some of the friendliest service I've received in months.
My server - damn am I ever bad at remembering names - recommended me the Veal Cutlets. A short while later, what appeared in front of me was a warm plate featuring two large pieces of tender veal - breaded and cooked to perfection - topped by a nice hearty gravy, and neighbouring two scoops of creamy mashed potatoes and a side of steamed veggies. Divine comfort food in every sense! It was also the perfect amount of food for my level of hunger at the time. I washed it down with a few Heinekens and my solo late lunch became a smash!
Superb staff, delicious food, and moderately priced! If I had a second thought about this place, it would have to do with the décor and how simple and uninviting it looks. All in all, I highly recommend the Country Kitchen if you're stopping through town. -

This place is gross.
It smells like old carpet and has an old 70s style.
The bathrooms are HIDEOUS.
do not go here, go to a different greasy spoon.. this can be likened to a 50 year old denny's restaurant but with dark brown wood everywhere. The food isn't good also and it's over priced. Just don't bother. -

Best poutine of my life.
Friendly staff.
Reasonably priced.
Can't complain. Was a pleasant surprise.
Will definitely stop by again 100%, if I am driving by Princeton in the future.
